They are expected to demonstrate strong technical depth, sound architectural judgment, and hands‑on leadership, while mentoring teams and influencing best practices across programs.The STG unit emphasizes software development excellence, innovation, and continuous upskilling. It offers experienced talent the opportunity to work on transformational initiatives, engage closely with stakeholders, and grow as trusted technology leaders within Infosys’ global delivery ecosystem.

In the assigned Job Role of Specialist Programmer, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:
  • Analyze user stories and use cases to ensure accurate understanding for production-ready delivery.
  • Contribute to define design specifications and technology frameworks and assist in creation of reusable assets to enhance productivity and support complex technology projects.
  • Deliver high-quality, optimized and efficient code across applications and databases, engage in debugging complex routines and build automation.
  • Support the team to foster a robust technical environment and ensure error‑free coding.
  • Participation in knowledge transfer sessions and assist in utilizing reverse engineering methodologies to support the transition process.
  • Assist in deploying solutions for future projects exploring new technologies through initial prototypes.
  • Facilitate adoption of emerging technologies through POC initiatives aligned to business needs.
  • Support in implementation of technical services to meet quality service (QoS) requirements
  • Contribute to development of reusable assets with specific focus on productivity improvement and support resolution of critical production issues.
  • Interface with customers during warranty support to ensure issues are fixed in a timely manner.
  • Address technical issues during testing to ensure a reliable, production-ready codebase.
  • Assist in mitigating risks by flagging them and support timely resolution in co‑ordination with the team.
  • Fix issues during testing phases to ensure error‑free, clean releases.

Required Skill and Experience

Experience in developing and applying generative AI models.
Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals, deep learning architectures, and natural language processing (NLP)
Proficiency in programming languages like Python and familiarity with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Design, develop, and deploy generative AI models for various applications, such as text generation, image creation, and code synthesis (depending on the specific focus of the company).
Fine‑tune pre‑trained LLMs for specific tasks and domains, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with business goals.
Manage the entire AI development lifecycle, from data pre‑processing and model training to evaluation, optimization, and deployment.
Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to define project requirements, ensure technical feasibility, and integrate AI solutions seamlessly.
Stay up to date on the latest advancements in generative AI research and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our AI capabilities.
Champion responsible AI development practices, focusing on bias mitigation, fairness, and explainability.

Experience in cloud-based platforms like OpenShift, AWS, GCP, Azure
Experience in Open‑Source tools and technologies
