AHS Staffing is seeking a School Services School Occupational Therapist for a local contract job in Oswego, Illinois.

Qualifications: 

  • Master's level or higher in Occupational Therapy
  • IL OT license
  • Previous experience (fieldwork counts) in pediatric and/or school based therapy
  • Prefer candidate strong in sensory knowledge, organized, yet adaptable.
  • Ability to teach IEP/ school based knowledge experience is preferred
  • Will be supervising and has experience in this area

Role Overview:
As an OT, you will support students in school settings by assessing their needs, developing individualized plans, and implementing interventions to help them succeed academically, socially, and physically. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.
Job Details:   

  • Schedule: 2 programs located in the same building
  • Dates: 2026-2027 School Year
  • Hours: 1 program- 7:45-2:45 with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. 2nd program- 8:45-2:45 with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break.
  • Service delivery of consult and direct, completing 3 year re-evals, annual reviews, working 1 on 1 and within small groups and team collaboration

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Assess students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized therapy plans.
  • Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions in accordance with students' IEPs, helping them achieve academic and developmental goals.
  • Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to students' unique needs.
  • Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodation or modifications.
