Qualifications: 

  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Degree
  • Must have NC COTA License
  • Experience with children preferred, but not required
  • MUST be willing to Drive within 30 min to an Hour of the Shelby area to see clients
  • Valid NC Driver's license

Role Overview:
PediaStaff is seeking a skilled and passionate Pediatric COTA to join our dynamic team. As a vital member of our company, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and their families while enjoying a supportive and positive work environment.
Job Details:   

  • Schedule:  Days and Hours may vary dependent on Caseload, Very Flexible
  • Dates:  Positions would start ASAP-End Date to be discussed, but prefer long-term contract
  • Hours:  Daytime hours  
  • Setting:  Meet with clients in various settings i.e. homes, daycares, schools
  • Caseload: Starts off with a Caseload of approximately servicing about 15-20 hours' worth of cases weekly, Caseload CAN grow to Full-Time dependent on coverage area  

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Work with assigned Virtual Occupational Therapist to regularly monitor and document a child's progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Involve families in the therapy process, providing support, education, and guidance to extend therapeutic gains into daily routines.
  • Work closely with other therapists and professionals within the community to provide integrated care and interdisciplinary support
  • Collaborate with assigned Occupational Therapist regarding treatment provision.
