Job Responsibilities & Duties
  • Represent JRUSA in the existing main markets (asphalt pavement, roofing, concrete, roofing, agricultural applications and other industrial applications ) for functional fibers including cellulose, wood flour, cotton fibers, HPMC, Alginates and others.
  • Maintain/develop business relationships with established/new business partners.
  • Develop and execute agreed upon sales plan.
  • Meet or exceed plan for revenues, volume and gross margin of all products.
  • Develop new products for applications in cooperation with our labs in USA and Germany.
  • Facilitate and help promote JRS fibers to global sale offices.
  • Manage and grow direct sales channels, and through Distribution partners.
  • 30%-50% travel including overnight travel will be required. Limited international travel.
  • Manage existing team to maximize time, resources and return.
  • Exhibit and present technologies at appropriate trade shows, conferences, and expositions.
  • Frequently travel to customer sites and industry related events.
  • Develop relationships with key upper-level decision makers at target accounts.
  • Develop new customer leads through membership in business and technical associations.
  • Generate price quotations to be recorded in SAP.
  • Research and document customer, competition, application and market information.
  • Create sales call reports and appropriate customer data.
  • Have detailed understanding of relevant market products, applications, volumes and pricing.
  • Create tactical and strategic budgets and sales growth plans.
  • Provide input on the printing/creation of marketing materials such as newsletters, catalogs; sell sheets and promotional giveaway materials.
  • Build and maintain relationships with the JRS Germany and other key JRS offices around the globe.
  • Create sales forecasts for production planning and annual budget process.
  • Work closely with manufacturing locations and sales operation teams
  • Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adherence to all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership example in support of company business goals, plans, and objectives.

Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Science Discipline or engineering.
  • 7+ years' experience in relevant field.
  • Proven consistent sales/sales management track record.
  • Active participation in direct sales to key accounts.
  • Track record of managing a sales team.
  • Independent strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong sense of customer urgency.
  • Able to effectively communicate complex matters on the telephone, in person and in writing.
  • Competent use of business English in formal communication via email, letter and presentations.
  • Adept in use of MS Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point.
  • Able to perform business and scientific math calculations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
