Job Summary:
Magline, Inc. is a leader in the material handling industry, committed to creating innovative solutions that enhance safety and efficiency in transporting materials. They are seeking a Product Manager to manage the full lifecycle of their product portfolio, coordinate cross-functional teams, and develop pricing strategies to ensure successful product launches and profitability.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the full product lifecycle from concept through launch, growth, and eventual phase-out.
• Develop and maintain product roadmaps that reflect customer needs, competitive positioning, and company priorities.
• Continuously evaluate product performance and identify opportunities for product improvement, cost reduction, or expansion.
• Serve as the central coordinator for new product development initiatives, ensuring alignment between Engineering, Sales, Operations, and Marketing.
• Lead cross-functional project planning, timelines, and milestone tracking to ensure successful product development and launch execution.
• Facilitate communication between internal teams to resolve issues, manage tradeoffs, and keep projects moving forward.
• Support pilot programs, field testing, and early customer validation for new products.
• Conduct market research in collaboration with VP to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive threats.
• Work closely with sales teams and key customers to gather insights that inform product development priorities.
• Translate customer feedback into actionable product requirements and engineering specifications.
• Develop and manage pricing strategies for new product launches, ensuring alignment with market positioning and margin targets.
• Oversee pricing structure and adjustments for the existing product catalog, including margin analysis and competitive benchmarking.
• Collaborate with finance, sales, and leadership to evaluate pricing opportunities, promotional programs, and product profitability.
• Partner with Marketing and Sales to ensure successful product launches, including positioning, messaging, and go-to-market plans.
• Support the creation of product training materials, sales enablement tools, and product documentation.
• Monitor market adoption and customer feedback following product launches.
• Track product KPIs including sales performance, margins, adoption rates, and customer feedback.
• Provide product updates and strategic recommendations to leadership through regular reporting and presentations.
• Use data and market feedback to inform product roadmap decisions.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in product management, project management, or product development
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving engineering, sales, and marketing
• Experience managing multiple product initiatives and development projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
Preferred:
• Experience working in manufacturing, industrial products, or material handling industries
• Experience managing pricing strategy and product margin analysis
• Familiarity with stage-gate product development processes
• Knowledge of manufacturing environments, supply chains, and industrial product design
