Job description

Job Summary
Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Sales Representative based out of our Tinton Falls Office to support a construction aggregate operation that supplies material to the NJ & PA markets in our East Region. This role is responsible for driving sales volumes and material pricing for a 6M ton construction aggregate operation.
Day to Day
  • Drive sales volumes and material pricing for a 6M ton construction materials operation that generates over $350M in revenue annually.
  • Manage and grow sales of construction aggregates to a portfolio of customers in NJ & PA doing business in the civil, residential, energy, commercial, and industrial construction markets.
  • Pro-actively establish and strengthen relationships with customers, through effective territory management and well-prepared face-to-face customer visits focused on securing new business, expanding current sales volumes, optimizing material pricing, and converting prospects to customers.
  • Meet and exceed targeted and well-prepared face-to-face sales visits with customer base and qualified prospects.
  • Seek, verify, and qualify job leads. Identify all potential customers and prosects that will bid the work, confirm job and customer needs, competitively bid and win jobs within pricing guidelines and approval levels to secure profitable sales volumes.
  • Participate in routine sales team meetings to review results, set action plans, and address opportunities. These include weekly sales huddles and monthly Sales & Operations meetings.
  • Review relevant sales reports daily, monthly, and quarterly as needed, to prepare for customer communications.
  • Manage, adjust, and improve accuracy of monthly sales forecasts based on customer feedback, backlog analysis, and market intelligence
  • Seek and leverage market intelligence from customers, suppliers, vendors, and publicly available sources to improve decision making and adjust commercial strategies.
  • Assist Accounts Payable team with collection efforts as needed.
  • Join and actively participate in relevant industry associations to bolster networking skills and industry knowledge
  • Visit Arcosa production sites at least monthly to strengthen relationships with Operational peers and improve understanding of the material production and quality control processes.
  • Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
  • Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned

  • Outstanding analytical, quantitative and project management abilities.
  • Can effectively work within the larger Sales Team and local cross-functional counterparts in operations, finance, quality control, and logistics.
  • Results-oriented and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Basic software skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, NetSuite).

  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and optimize skill sets

Working Conditions
While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
Compensation
$72,345 - $94,049 annually
