Job description

💼 Type: Full-time

📍 Location: SF Preferred. Remote (US) for rare exceptions

About Superpower

We’re on a mission to build a new health care system that extends and enhances human life. Superpower will build a new health system that is preventative, personalized, and performance-enhancing — bringing the best of health into one place.

93% of our members say we're better than their doctor or life-changing and 60% discover something their doctor missed.

About the Role

You'll bring Superpower to life through movement. This role sits at the intersection of brand, product, and growth — creating motion that makes our product feel alive, our ads impossible to scroll past, and our brand unmistakably Superpower. From micro-interactions in the product to full campaign films, you'll define how Superpower moves.

We believe emotions provide as much data as logic. If something makes you feel something, that's the signal. Your work should make people feel.

What You'll Do
  • Create motion design across brand, product, and growth: social content, ad creative, product animations, launch videos, and more

  • Develop and maintain a motion language for Superpower — timing, easing, transitions, and principles that scale

  • Produce short-form video content for Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and other channels

  • Design UI animations and micro-interactions that elevate the product experience

  • Collaborate with brand designers, product designers, and engineers to integrate motion into every surface

  • Work with growth to create high-performing video ad creative — fast iteration, clear storytelling

  • Experiment with AI-assisted motion tools, generative video, and emerging formats

  • Edit and composite video — you're comfortable being both the creative director and the executor

What You Bring
  • 3–6+ years of experience in motion design, animation, or video — at a studio, agency, brand, or in-house team

  • A reel that shows range: brand films, social content, UI animation, typographic motion, or experimental work

  • Mastery of After Effects. Strong working knowledge of Premiere, Cinema 4D, or Blender

  • Understanding of animation principles — timing, weight, easing — and how they serve storytelling

  • Ability to work fast without sacrificing craft. We move at startup speed

  • Comfort working across brand and product contexts — you can shift from a 60s hero film to a 3s loading animation

  • Collaborative, low-ego approach. You give and receive feedback directly

  • A genuine interest in health, science, or human performance

Nice to Have
  • 3D animation or rendering skills (Cinema 4D, Blender, Houdini)

  • Experience with Lottie, Rive, or code-based animation for product

  • Sound design sensibility

  • Experience creating performance ad creative (Meta, TikTok)

  • Illustration or generative art background

Why Superpower
  • Mission that matters: we catch diseases before they start and change people’s lives

  • Radical empowerment: no layers of approval, no waiting for permission if you see a problem we reward people that solve them

  • A-players only: small team of exceptional people who actually do the work

  • Founder mode: everyone is an IC here, including leadership. We don't delegate, we build

  • Competitive compensation with equity in a company at the frontier of health and AI

  • Superpower your own health — we live the ethos

The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $120,000 - $170,000 (non-inclusive of equity).

Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. Compensation outside of San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package may include benefits, equity-based compensation, and eligibility for a company bonus or variable pay program depending on the role. Your recruiter can share more details during the hiring process.
