Job description

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Medical Instrument Technicians (MIT) for Ultrasound Technician to join our dynamic team at the Veterans Affairs Long Beach Healthcare System (VALBHS).

Work Hours:

  • Monday – Sunday: Between the hours of Midnight – Midnight Including Holidays
  • Lunch or dinner meal periods: employees that works an 8-hour
    shift shall be entitled to two (2) 15-minute breaks and one (1) 30-minute meal
    break.
  • 40 hours per week.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of current work experience in Medical Sonography
  • Encouraged, but not required, to hold a valid American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) (AB) certification
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Picture Achieving & Communication Systems (PACS) work experience; however, AGFA PACS experience is preferred but not required. Training provided as needed.
  • Have basic computer skills. Must be knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Software
    (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook).
