Job Overview
Our client is building a next-generation API Review Agent platform and developer tooling ecosystem that enables engineers to validate, review, govern, and automate API quality using AI-powered workflows. The platform encompasses world-class CLI tooling, SDKs, plugins, and developer experiences distributed globally across thousands of engineers. We are seeking a passionate engineer who thrives in developer productivity, command-line tooling, software distribution, observability, and telemetry.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop production-grade CLI tools using Golang and/or TypeScript
- Build command-line experiences for API governance, review automation, and developer workflows
- Create extensible plugin architectures and SDKs for internal and external consumers
- Design and implement software distribution strategies across macOS and Windows
- Build release pipelines, package managers, installers, auto-update mechanisms, and version management solutions
- Implement telemetry frameworks measuring adoption, usage patterns, performance, and feature engagement
- Develop authentication, configuration, and credential-management capabilities for developer tools
- Build integrations with GitHub, GitLab, CI/CD systems, IDEs, and developer portals
- Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and platform-wide engineering initiatives
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Golang and TypeScript/Node.js
- Experience building and maintaining production-grade CLI applications
- Deep understanding of software packaging and distribution (Homebrew, npm, standalone binaries, containers)
- Experience implementing telemetry, analytics, and usage instrumentation within developer tools
- Knowledge of OpenTelemetry, metrics collection, logging, and observability best practices
- Experience with release engineering, CI/CD automation, and artifact management
- Strong understanding of API design and OpenAPI specifications
- Experience building SDKs, plugins, extensions, or developer productivity platforms
- Knowledge of authentication mechanisms including OAuth, API keys, and enterprise SSO
