ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter is seeking to add an Agency Driver to our Facilities Management Department! In this role you will provide transportation to people we support from home to various work locations and return. This position requires good driving skills, a good driving record and knowledge of the Utica area as well as surrounding areas in Oneida County.
Responsibilities:
  • Required to assist the people we support into and out of an agency vehicle to ensure their safety.
  • Must have the ability to follow directions or the ability to successfully utilize a GPS system.
  • Safe and courteous operation of assigned vehicles including maintaining a safe speed at all times according to road conditions. One must observe speed limits at all times
  • Observe all NYS driving regulations and laws as well as agency policies and procedures
  • Report all accidents, no matter how small to the Director of Facilities Management
  • Report all traffic infractions or citations immediately to the Director of Facilities Management whether in agency vehicle or personal vehicle
  • Maintain Vehicle interior as far as disinfecting, cleaning and neatness
  • Perform recordkeeping including daily attendance and other reports as required

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid, Clean, Class D license with 3 to 5 years driving experience
  • Adequate manual dexterity
