Job description

The Healthcare Benchmark Initiative Policy Development Coordinator leads Connecticut's health care cost-growth benchmark initiative and policy development within the Office of Policy and Management. The role involves analyzing healthcare data, developing policy solutions on affordability and access, managing stakeholder partnerships, and collaborating with interstate and interagency partners. This is a full-time position in Hartford reporting to the Senior Policy Advisor to the OPM Secretary.

Key qualifications
  • Six years of experience reviewing, analyzing, coordinating and administering policies and programs in a large governmental or business organization
  • Considerable knowledge of public administration, policy development, cost-benefit analysis, and legislative processes
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to analyze and evaluate policy programs
  • Preferred: experience in health policy, healthcare markets, insurance regulation, or payment reform
  • Preferred: experience managing teams and engaging with diverse external stakeholders including hospitals, health systems, and state agencies
  • Preferred: advanced degree in health care, health administration, or public policy
