Job description

Role:

Carmichael Lynch is hiring an associate creative director/copywriter (ACD/CW) to work across a multitude of client accounts. Our ACDs are the heart and soul of the shop. They know the business, have proven experience building client relationships, and are trusted to lead projects and run productions independently. They adapt and deliver at the highest level on any brief thrown their way. They have excellent craft, translate feedback with ease, and manage their time well. They examine briefs carefully, know when (and how) to push, and show up for their creative directors, integrated teams, and the creatives they oversee on any given project.

Our next ACD/CW knows they are a reliable pinch-hitter who can manage several core client assignments while contributing to ad hoc briefs and new business opportunities. They are all in on delivering career-defining creative work and are excited to bring their perspective to Carmichael Lynch's company culture.

Craft Skills:

  • Shape and execute strategic, award-winning creative that helps our clientspush their businesses forward.
  • Seamlessly jump on other accounts as a pinch-hitter creative to move conceptual work forward.
  • Develop creative management craft by delivering feedback, motivating, teaching, and knowing when to jump in.
  • Set the bar for creative craft and excellence.
  • Know their clients, their briefs, their tone, and their business.

People Skills:

  • Build client relationships and trust.
  • Deliver presentations with the ability to speak to full-funnel campaign strategy.
  • Lead cross-departmental integration on projects.
  • Demonstrate strong time management skills by carving out time for team projects and balancing meetings, reviews, and feedback when leading projects.
  • Manage up by having the trust of CDs, ECDs, and CCO to reliably block and tackle internal and client needs across accounts.
  • Serve as a go-to resource for junior creatives.

Experience:

  • Must have a minimum of 6 years of experience in a traditional advertising agency copywriter position. (If your current job title is designer, be sure to have ample copywriting/concepting examples in your portfolio. This is not a design-only job.)
  • Demonstrate proven record of concepting, selling, and shipping full-funnel creative work, inclusive of TV, online video, social, influencer, digital, and experiential activations.
  • Managerial/supervisory experience welcomed.
  • Awarded and credited work expected.
