Extended Care Staff
Direct Supervisor: Jen Hayes
Type: Part Time Staff
The Extended Care Staff are responsible for supervising children ages three years through eighth grade after school. This includes ensuring the safety of students, assisting with homework, organizing and leading indoor and outdoor activities, and being a positive role model while interacting with children. Extended Care is open every full day of school during the academic school year.
Hours are currently 2:45 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. for the 2026-2027 school year.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead indoor and outdoor activities to engage students
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all assigned students
  • Maintain positive relationships with students, parents and staff
  • Assist with mediating student conflict in a positive manner and supporting behavior management strategies set by the program manager
  • Complete online training and in-person training

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to pass a federal background check
