Job description

Software Developer (Systems Software)

Location: Chantilly, VA

Must have an active TS/SCI FS Poly

A DevOps focused Software engineer to support the enterprise language services team. A successful candidate would have a deep understanding of Kubernetes, containerization and cloud-native technologies. Will be responsible for the implementation of the project's Kubernetes-based infrastructure and applications.

Requirements

Mandatory Skills:

1. Experience with Kubernetes container orchestration, including deployment, scaling and management

2. Knowledge of Helm charts for simplifying application deployment of Kubernetes

3. Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management

4. Hands-on experience with AWS services and architecture

5. Strong scripting skills using Bash, with the ability to automate tasks and processes

Optional Skills:

1. Experience with ArgoCD for automating deployment pipelines

2. Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems such as Prometheus/Grafana

3. Familiarity with KEDA for scalable Kubernetes workloads

4. Elasticsearch expertise for search, logging, or analytics use cases

5. PostgreSQL database administration skills

6. Node.js and TypeScript development experience

7. Angular framework knowledge
