Job description

Every day, millions of packages move through one of the world's largest transportation networks - and keeping that freight safe is a massive, fascinating challenge. We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the product strategy for cargo security and risk prevention across our inbound supply chain. In this role, you'll build brand-new products and evolve an existing roadmap that protects inventory from the moment it enters our transportation network until it reaches its destination.
This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of product management, machine learning, and global logistics

You'll design intelligent, scalable systems - including real-time monitoring and predictive risk detection - that safeguard billions of dollars in goods while improving the experience for shipping partners and customers alike. If you love turning ambiguity into strategy, thrive on cross-functional collaboration, and want your work to have measurable, large-scale impact, this role was made for you.
Key job responsibilities
- Define and own the product vision and multi-year roadmap for cargo integrity and prevention services, including building new product lines and evolving existing capabilities that reduce inventory loss across the transportation network.
- Lead customer and stakeholder discovery to identify the highest-impact pain points in transportation reliability, synthesizing insights from operational data, carrier performance metrics, and cross-functional interviews into a clear, prioritized product strategy.
- Drive cross-functional execution by partnering with engineering, data science, operations, and business intelligence teams to deliver both near-term improvements and long-term strategic capabilities - setting shared goals, resolving trade-offs, and maintaining momentum across workstreams.
- Build and scale machine-learning-powered solutions for predictive risk detection, real-time shipment monitoring, and carrier compliance - working closely with applied scientists and engineers to translate models from research into production-ready products.
- Establish success metrics, reporting mechanisms, and operational feedback loops that quantify product and business impact, inform continuous improvement, and provide leadership with clear visibility into risk trends and prevention effectiveness.
A day in the life
Mornings might start with reviewing overnight cargo incident trends, then joining a stand-up with engineering and data science partners to unblock a predictive risk model. Midday, you lead a cross-functional roadmap review with operations and risk management stakeholders, aligning on priorities and trade-offs

Afternoons could involve drafting requirements for a real-time alerting feature or analyzing A/B test results on a recently launched detection capability. No two days look the same, but every day centers on solving complex problems that protect a global supply chain.
About the team
Our team protects the integrity of freight moving through Amazon's transportation network. We combine shipment data with transportation signals to detect cargo theft proactively and build preventative measures that strengthen the entire supply chain

When prevention isn't possible, we pursue recovery through vendor reimbursements and carrier insurance claims. We're a mission-driven, collaborative group that values creative problem-solving, data-driven decisions, and diverse perspectives. You'll work alongside engineers, data scientists, and operations leaders who are passionate about raising the bar for supply chain security.
