About the job

It’s a fascinating time for geospatial understanding. The confluence of GenAI disruption with an increased proliferation of sensor sources means there are ways more inputs create a useful and compelling world model, plus a step change in the technological capabilities that unlock doing so at scale.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to update our portfolio of sensor-derived 2D, 2.5D, and 3D products. You will connect technical feasibility with client needs and break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.
This role requires bringing AI, automation, research partnerships, and novel exploratory work to bear the top geospatial use‑cases of our time and the future. The next generation of maps is being built in 3D and will be a shared canvas for emerging internal experiences and industry solutions that span everything from navigation to public sector planning to environmental science. It will require higher resolution, freshness, and coverage.

The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives.
The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
