Job description

The Role

We're hiring our first Director of Social Media to put Eve into the world, document it, and build the team that scales the motion.

This is not a content calendar job. Eve's social strategy starts in the physical world. Eve is a character out in the world doing things worth watching. (Like facilitating a legal access workshop for free consultations to people who need a lawyer. Or setting up a falafel cart outside a courthouse, plaintiff lawyers only. You get the idea!) Your job is to make those things happen, capture them beautifully, and put them into the world.

Social is also where the market forms its first impression of Eve; where a plaintiff attorney decides we're worth a demo, and where a great engineer or marketer decides we're worth a career. You'll own both. Your job is to make Eve impossible to miss: the premier name in legal technology to our customers, and one of the best places to work in the world to the people we want to hire.

You'll own organic strategy, channel management, and production across all of Eve's social presence; Instagram, LinkedIn, Reddit, X, YouTube, and wherever our audience goes next. You'll build our creator and influencer program from zero. You'll run our employee evangelism program, turning the team into a distribution engine. And you'll build the executive presence of our leaders, including the CEO, CPO, CRO, and CMO.

You'll start as a team of one with a real budget and a mandate to build; the function, the production motion, and the team behind it. You'll be hands-on from day one, on set and in the edit, coordinating with our agency and external partners to ship daily while setting the strategy a growing team will execute. We want someone who can plan a quarter of campaigns and then get fingers on the phone and cut the reel; someone with the strategic range to design the motion and the craft to make fifteen seconds of video land in your chest.

If you've built social at a brand people recognize, if you think in hooks and formats, if you've ever talked your way into a location to get the shot, this is the role for you.

What You'll Do
  • Own organic social strategy, management, and production across all of Eve's channels; Instagram, LinkedIn, Reddit, X, YouTube, and emerging platforms; from the quarterly plan to the post that ships this afternoon.
  • Create the campaigns that put Eve in the real world. Activations, stunts, field interviews, press moments, documentary shoots. Concept them, produce them, and turn them into assets that travel.
  • Produce the content yourself, not just brief it. Write posts, direct and shoot on location, cut short-form video, and ship at the pace social demands while raising the bar on craft.
  • Build Eve's creator and influencer program from scratch. Find the right voices in and around plaintiff law, structure the partnerships, and hold the work to our standard.
  • Launch and run Eve's employee evangelism program. Give the team the tools, templates, and encouragement to become a distribution engine.
  • Build the executive presence of Eve's leaders, including the CEO, CPO, CRO, and CMO; ghostwrite, shape, and grow their voices on social.
  • Build Eve's brand across two audiences at once: plaintiff attorneys (our customers) and the people we want to hire (our future team).
  • Run the budget. You'll have real money for production, creators, and paid amplification behind select posts. Decide where it goes, place bets that won't pay off evenly, and be honest about which ones worked.
  • Hire and lead a social team over time. Start as a team of one and build the function, with a budget behind you.
  • Own the numbers, including when they're lying. Grow reach and engagement across every channel; build the measurement that separates a post that traveled from a post that mattered, and be the one who says which is which.
  • Position Eve as the premier company in legal technology and one of the best places to work in the world.
  • Partner with content, brand, and recruiting so social reinforces the story everywhere it shows up, from the feed to the careers page.
  • Stay ahead of platform trends, formats, and culture; move fast when something new works.
What We're Looking For
  • 10+ years in social media, content, or brand, including time owning strategy and production for a brand people recognized.
  • A portfolio of social work you can point to: accounts you grew, formats you invented, posts that broke out.
  • A genuine maker; you personally write, shoot, and edit short-form content, and you ship daily.
  • Deep native fluency across Instagram, LinkedIn, Reddit, and X; you know what works where and why.
  • Proven ability to grow an executive's or founder's presence on social, including ghostwriting, format, and cadence.
  • Experience building or running an employee advocacy or evangelism program.
  • Instinct for what makes people stop, feel something, and share; you understand the difference between reach and resonance.
  • Excellent writing and taste. Our audience is attorneys and top-tier operators; they notice everything.
  • Comfort building from zero and leading a team as it grows.
Bonus Points
  • You've grown a brand's social from small to genuinely known.
  • Experience with employer branding or recruiting-driven social.
  • Experience marketing to attorneys, professional services buyers, or another skeptical, high-expertise audience.
  • A track record on Reddit specifically; you understand the community and its rules.
  • You've built a social or content team, not just joined one.
  • You've worked at a company going through hypergrowth and thrived in the chaos.
