Job description

Owner Conversion Specialist
Department: NAS
Wage: $19.40 + Performance based increases
Location: Hybrid (In office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)
Overview
Conversion Specialists are the reliable backbone behind every smooth ownership transition. This role is for a highly organized, polite, and persistent problem-solver who thrives behind the scenes - someone who brings order to chaos, independently navigates bureaucratic utility companies, and translates complex processes into simple, reassuring updates for clients and teammates.
What We're Looking For
We hire for grit, not résumés. Some of our best Conversion Specialists came from real life, not a traditional professional background - students who worked through college, people who've juggled multiple jobs to make ends meet, or those who've mastered a craft at a high level, whether that's athletics, music, languages, or another challenging discipline. If you've faced a real obstacle and kept going anyway, you already have what this job takes.
Responsibilities
  • Contact clients and account managers to gather necessary information, serving as the point of contact across several properties at once
  • Coordinate with utility providers to gather bill information and schedule utility transfers
  • Input account information accurately into the Conservice database
  • Help clients understand our utility payment process in clear, simple terms
  • Spot and investigate discrepancies - like an unusual spike in a vacant property's water bill - before they become bigger problems
  • Stay calm and keep clients informed during high-pressure moments, like an unexpected service disconnection

What Makes Someone Succeed Here
  • Tactful Persistence: Politely persistent with unresponsive utility companies, and knows when and how to escalate until the job gets done.
  • Organized & Tech-Comfortable: Builds their own systems - checklists, calendars, spreadsheets - and picks up new software and databases quickly to juggle multiple properties without letting anything slip.
  • A Natural Detective: Notices when something doesn't add up and digs into it, rather than pushing bad data forward.
  • Calm Under Pressure: Shields clients from the headaches of utility transfers and keeps composure when things get stressful, like a disconnected service or a stack of urgent requests.

  • Qualifications
    • No specific degree or industry experience required - we care more about character than credentials
    • Comfortable learning and navigating multiple computer systems and software - including databases, spreadsheets, and email - with solid typing and data-entry accuracy
    • Able to independently solve problems using the resources and tools provided
    • Strong attention to detail and clear, professional communication
    • Ability to manage and prioritize a busy, shifting workload
    • A track record - in school, work, sports, or life - of facing something hard and not quitting
