Description

Citizens is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Senior Data Analyst to join the Enterprise Sponsorships, Experiential Marketing & Corporate Events team. In this role, you will develop and lead performance measurement and analytics across sponsorship and event programs, including bespoke activations, thought leadership events, panel discussions, conferences, webinars, and other experiences. You will establish clear KPIs, strengthen data capture, and translate outcomes into timely, actionable insights. Additionally, this role will partner closely with internal stakeholders and agency partners to build scalable reporting and visualization, enhance analytical processes and deliver data storytelling that connects event strategy to enterprise priorities and drives measurable business impact. This role demands a blend of strategic business acumen and hands-on technical expertise in data analytics, pipeline development, and visualization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis & Insights: Conduct complex analyses and create reports to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and support strategic business decisions. Present findings that connect deep data insights to broader business objectives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with marketing and business leaders to define analytical needs, translate them into technical requirements, and deliver actionable solutions and reporting. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including ED&A, Private Bank, Wealth, Commercial, and Business Banking.
  • Data Quality & Validation: Ensure data integrity through rigorous validation and testing. Proactively identify and resolve issues related to data bias, accuracy, or completeness.
  • Optimization & Innovation: Use analytical techniques to identify business process improvements and operational optimizations through large-scale data analysis, automating where possible to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Ad Hoc & Strategic Support: Respond to dynamic business requests while maintaining consistency and scalability in reporting. Drive a culture of iteration, efficiency, and automation.
  • Data Infrastructure Development: Build and maintain robust data pipelines, ensuring reliable data flow for analysis and visualization.
  • Visualization & Storytelling: Develop and enhance dashboards using BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to convey insights effectively to senior leadership. Document and communicate analytic results, insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or Physical Sciences)
  • 5+ years of professional experience in analytics, plus 1+ year in corporate strategy (preferably within Financial Services)
  • Strong problem-solving and storytelling skills - ability to connect data insights to strategic recommendations
  • Advanced proficiency with 3+ years experience in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or Looker)
  • Experience with data querying, validation/testing, dataset generation, and building repeatable reporting
  • Working knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, data warehouse architecture, and data pipeline tools (e.g., Airflow)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and database environments
  • Handson experience working with CRM data, including campaign, lead, account, and opportunitylevel data, to support marketing measurement, customer analysis, and performance reporting
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities, with experience handling multiple priorities in dynamic environments
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills and ability to translate analytic results into business implications and recommendations.
  • Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion

Preferred

  • Master's degree (e.g., MBA or equivalent quantitative discipline)
  • Experience with marketing measurement approaches such as incrementality testing, experimental design, and attribution models; Exposure to statistical modeling and predictive analytics

  • Experience with Salesforce, data lakes, and banking systems supporting front-line colleagues
  • Experience with data automation and process optimization workflows

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8-5 4 days in the Westwood MA or Johnston RI office 1 day remote.ย 

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $104,000 - $138,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
