Job Description:
OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
The Senior Reporting & Data Analyst is responsible for programming and analysis functions as a member of a technical team. Work assignments will normally be given verbally, in writing or self-developed through active participation in requirements gathering meetings.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support end user requests for timely report analysis from data warehouse using Business Object, SQL, Access or other tools (30%).
Investigate and evaluate business needs proactively in addition to requests from users and develop new reports to fulfill those requirements (25%).
Maintain existing reports including selection criteria and documentation (20%).
Build new database applications to increase automation and quality for the business (15%).
Ensure all reports delivered timely and accurately.
Maintain existing users' and new users' permissions for reports.
Participate in design of ETL process from various platforms for load into the enterprise data warehouse or client systems as necessary.
Validate data loads and transformations.
Work with application developer to develop requirements documents for potential new applications.
Periodically interview business users to identify areas that could benefit from new/revised applications.
Be knowledgeable about dental and life products.
Design, code, test, maintain, and debug simple to complex programs and/or make modifications to programs.
Assist in preparation of internal design specification, unit test plans, and software installation documentation.
Assist in research for development, modification or enhancement of systems.
Assist in quality assurance testing for various IT applications.
Report on the status of projects and tasks both orally and in writing.
Administration of CRM and Accelehealth systems.
Provide basic backup support for the Senior Business Systems Analyst/Project Manager.
Access EPHI following the current guidelines as established at the company-wide and department levels.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years experience in the IT field. Knowledge of business intelligence, SQL, programming languages and Microsoft Access. Require experience in multiple programming disciplines, business intelligence applications, and familiarity with data warehouse concepts. Detail oriented, excellent communication skills and able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
