At American Place Casino, every moment is crafted to delight, every opportunity is a pathway to successย ย Who WE are looking for:The Database Marketing Analyst is responsible for providing analytical support, delivering insights that drive profit, and being a reliable business partner for all operational areas of Marketing. In addition, the marketing analyst is responsible for ensuring the integrity and success of the player tracking databases.ย This is a 100% Onsite opportunity.ย ย What is expected of YOU:
  • Interact with Senior leaders in the organization to develop and refine requests for analyses. Identify potential business opportunities and pursue them through analytics and creative solutions in consultation with team leadership
  • Conduct objective, rigorous analytics to help the business improve profitability, operational processes, and customer service โ€“ e.g., identification and evaluation of revenue growth opportunities, resource optimization, optimal investment mix, competitive market dynamics, customer behavior, and pricing optimization
  • Distill vast datasets into actionable insights and recommendations that guide decisions and strategies. Develop presentation materials that synthesize analyses into a format ready for senior management consumption and assume a substantial role in communicating analysis findings clearly, concisely and compellingly to senior management, in both verbal and written formats.
  • Participate actively in discussions with senior leadership, and assist in driving the development, implementation and evaluation of strategic projects
  • Develop and support reporting for the marketing departments to provide senior leaders visibility into trends and business performance drivers
  • Use technology (e.g., SQL, R, Tableau, Google BigQuery, Python) to develop analytics and reporting tools; take an active role in integrating new technologies and tools into the departmentโ€™s processes. Experienced in working in both Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Propose and implement improvements that drive material efficiencies in processes and reporting
Experience YOU will need:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree from an accredited four-year college preferred
  • 2+years of professional work (or equivalent experience)
  • Demonstrated business acumen for the casino industry; can articulate the fundamental drivers of business performance
  • Advanced skills in querying, analyzing, and visualizing large data sets. Proficiency in SQL and ideally one or more of the following programming languages: R, VBA, SAS, Python, and experience in working with Google BigQuery. Experienced in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strength in critical thinking, problem solving, and written and verbal communication. Comfort in articulating complex information and analyses to a variety of audiences
  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to quickly learn relevant database applications and software
  • Ability to effectively interact with and influence key stakeholders, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines while consistently delivering accurate and high-quality work
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity
Physical Requirements:
  • Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
  • Ability to climb, bend, reach, walk and stand for the duration of the shift.
  • Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
