Job description

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking an analyst to support verification, validation, and accreditation (VV&A) activities associated with Missile Defense System (MDS) modeling and simulation (M&S).
Roles and Responsibilities
  • The candidate will be supporting MDA/SEQV Systems Verification, which has been designated the MDA M&S agent, with a particular emphasis on application of radar expertise
  • Develop and conduct sensitivity studies to assess radar performance characteristics within the scope of MDA M&S
  • Develop data analysis code to assess HWIL/Digital Models against their requirements and determine their suitability for stated intended uses in MDS simulations
  • Research technical papers on models and identify data pertinent to model VV&A
  • Collaborate with counterparts from other stakeholder agencies, such as software developers and accreditation agents, to establish adequate V&V evidence and correct modeling issues

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • US citizenship and a secret level clearance is required
  • BS and/or MS in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science discipline and 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Expert working knowledge of radar fundamentals; experience with environmental perturbations that affect radars, such as refraction, atmospheric absorption, scintillation, and sky noise is desirable
  • Familiarity with MDA radar LRIDs (logical record indicators)
  • Understanding of radar discrimination methodology, especially with respect to wideband features
  • Experience with radar debris mitigation logic
  • Knowledge of signal processing techniques is a plus

The pay range for this position is $150,000/year to $180,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI offers a full range of medical benefits, 401k, ESOP, paid time off, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
