Job description

The following statements reflect the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job as identified and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements, which may be inherent in the position.

 

A Lead Patient Access clerk is a  specialized health care professional who is responsible for maintaining and leading patient intake areas as assigned.  Able to obtain information to ensure proper billing of patient account as well as a means of contacting the patient in regards to their treatment and/or billing issues.  Responsibilities also include  customer service, cashier services, explanation of insurance benefits, and daily reports.  Lead Patient Access Clerk should be knowledgeable in process and procedure for particular area as assigned.
