Location: Austin, TX
Duration: 6+ Months
Job Description:
1) Java Development with Groovy
2) C# and ASP application development
3) Oracle NoSQL Database - Oracle Fusion Middleware
This position is responsible for performing high-level activities (e.g. client requirements collection/analysis, systems design etc.) related to all phases of the Web application development. The developer will work independently and in teams, depending on the project. The member of development staff is also responsible for evaluating and developing reliable and efficient automated solutions to fulfill complex business requirements. The majority of the role is developing and working on re-usable frameworks for solutions to support State agencies and other public entities. The candidate will be developing web services.

Project: migrating legacy applications from C# .NET framework to Java with Groovy to an Apache CXF framework
• 6+ years hands-on software development experience in Java/J2EE.
• Strong Java skills and object-oriented design experience, including strong working knowledge of the Java web technology platform, applied use of design patterns, JSP and servlets.
• 3+ year hands-on technical experience with Spring Framework.
• Experience with web services including SOAP and REST API integrations.
• Experience with relational and document databases (Oracle and/or SQL Server and/or MongoDB) including database design, querying, stored procedures, views, joins, functions.
• An understanding that testing your code is vital (unit, integration, functional).
• Ability to support the product's code in production.
• Strong analytical skills: Ability to collect, organize, and analyze data; summarize findings and develop conclusions and recommendations.
• Hands-on experience with Groovy
• Hands-on experience with MS .NET and c#.
Nice to have skills:
-AngularJS 1.x
-Working knowledge of Spock and Mocha tests (these are java testing frameworks)
Client is a collaborative work environment. The teams range in size from 3-10 people. Client currently has one contractor on this team doing Java development.
-The first part of the interview process is client administering the screening questions.

It will allow the agencies to easily integrate their systems into Texas.gov and share applications. Also, they can save on the cost it would normally take to develop applications.
This is the largest portal in the country and the largest initiative in State government to build a collaborative site.
