The Nordic Behavioral and Psychological Center is on the lookout for a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LCPC, LCSW) to join our compassionate team. This role is pivotal in providing specialized mental health care to individuals wrestling with the aftermath of trauma. Our full-time position offers the flexibility of a remote work environment, ensuring our therapists can best support their clients while maintaining a work-life balance.

Our innovative remote work setting allows therapists to engage with patients from the comfort of their own environments while ensuring maximum flexibility in scheduling. Although primarily remote, therapists will have regular access to virtual team meetings and case consultations, fostering a collaborative culture that prioritizes client care and professional growth. Our work hours span Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility based on patient needs.

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories, ensuring individualized treatment strategies are developed.
• Design and implement tailored treatment plans focusing on trauma resilience and recovery, integrating evidence-based practices.
• Utilize established therapeutic methods such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in both individual and group settings.
• Facilitate therapeutic sessions aimed at helping clients process trauma, develop coping mechanisms, and foster emotional healing.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to provide integrated, holistic care for our clients.
• Offer crisis intervention services to clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective support.
• Educate clients and their families regarding trauma responses, practical coping strategies, and available healthcare resources.
• Maintain compliant and accurate documentation of all patient interactions and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in continuous education and team discussions focused on the latest research in trauma-informed care and therapeutic methodologies.

Our primary focus is serving individuals who have endured significant trauma and are often seeking guidance on their paths to recovery. Patients include survivors of abuse, combat veterans, and individuals coping with chronic trauma symptoms. The therapist in this role will have the opportunity to create lasting, positive impacts on their lives by guiding them through tailored therapeutic processes.

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.
• Demonstrated strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment methods, and resilience-building strategies.
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and comfortable using computer applications relevant to client care.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience working with trauma survivors in a clinical setting.
• Proven expertise in delivering trauma-focused therapies and therapeutic interventions.
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively in high-stress and crisis situations.
• Experience working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
