The Caring Place (@Miami Rescue Mission & Broward Outreach Centers) is a leading provider of services to the homeless and needy of South Florida. We are looking for like-minded, dynamic individuals to come and join our team. The Caring Place provides emergency shelter, residential programs, job training, education & computer literacy classes, healthcare, transitional housing, permanent housing, employment opportunities for homeless men, women, and children as well as programs for “at-risk” youth.

We are currently seeking a FT Video Editor at The Caring Place Administrative Office in Miami, FL,

JOB SUMMARY

The Video Editor (VE) reports to the Media Manager (MM) and is responsible for producing visual content that supports The Caring Place’s communications strategy. This includes media mail-outs, emails, photography and videography at events, newsletters, advertising content, social media and materials for all. The position plays an active role in event coverage, including photographing and filming events, organizing content, and supporting press needs onsite. The Video Editor also supports social media content by capturing and delivering timely, engaging visuals and short-form videos optimized for digital platforms.

CORE DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Photograph and film organization events; deliver edited content for press, social media, and newsletters
  • Coordinate with the Media Manager to support communication strategies through visual content
  • Create and schedule social media videos, reels, and stories from event footage or campaigns
  • Prepare accurate media mail-outs and assist in media prep for upcoming campaigns
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date digital media library
  • Design and produce flyers, brochures, and other visual collateral for campus programs
  • Edit and deliver videos that are professional in quality and align with brand guidelines
  • Produce and edit radio shows/ podcasts and other audio content as needed
  • Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and creativity in all tasks
  • Will lead and/or participate in devotions, prayers, or other ministry activities ex. outreach events
  • Must be in agreement with and sign The Caring Place Statement of Faith
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires a High School diploma or GED
  • Must have a minimum of one (1) year experience in a non-profit organization or general office setting
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in photography, videography, or media production
  • Must be computer literate have experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects)
  • Social media experience is a plus (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must have excellent communication and public relations skills
  • Ability to plan, organize, and execute media tasks, including event logistics and content scheduling

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods, and have the ability to lift and/or pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds Must also be able to see, hear and speak, in order to interact with staff and the general public
