Job description

Well established fast-paced firm where associates thrive because of their access to unparalleled training and the autonomy to run their own cases is looking to add a General Liability/Casualty Associate Attorney to their team. This position will offer high exposure to litigation cases from inception to trial with the supervising partner. The firm offers a structured mentoring program, in-house training programs, a collaborative work environment and the opportunity to work closely with partners who are willing and eager to provide new challenges. The position is full time and onsite at their Tampa, FL office.

The associates’ duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Conducting accident scene inspections with experts
  • Drafting reports and analyzing liability, causation and damages
  • Conducting depositions, attending hearings and arguing motions
  • Interviewing witnesses
  • Negotiations with opposing counsel
  • Conducting legal research

Qualifications:

  • Must have 3 + years of civil litigation experience. Litigation experience preferred in casualty, premises or product liability or complex litigation
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Florida, in good standing
  • Must have the ability to handle files from inception to trial
  • Must have experience with depositions, hearings, mediations and trial
  • Must have strong academic credentials
  • Must have excellent research and writing abilities
  • Must have exceptional attention to detail, strong legal research skills and a strong work ethic
