What is an AESI (Adverse Event of Special Interest)?

AESI stands for Adverse Events of Special Interest, which are specific medical events that are monitored closely during clinical trials or after a product has been approved for use. These events are not necessarily caused by a drug or vaccine, but are of scientific and medical concern due to their potential association with the product or their seriousness. Regulatory agencies and pharmaceutical companies track AESI to ensure early detection of any safety concerns and to protect public health. Monitoring AESI helps in making informed decisions about the risks and benefits of medical interventions.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an AESI (Assistant Electrical Site Inspector), and why are they important?

Familiarity with tools such as electrical testing equipment, site management software, and knowledge of local electrical codes or certifications like OSHA is typically required. Attention to detail, effective communication, and problem-solving skills are crucial soft skills for identifying issues and collaborating with project teams. These skills ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant completion of electrical site work, directly impacting project quality and safety.
