Position Title: Senior Aerospace Test Engineer
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting direct-hire Senior Aerospace Test Engineer opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
  • The Senior Aerospace Test Engineer will lead advanced aerospace experimentation efforts.
  • They will be responsible for the definition and oversight of ground and flight aerodynamics experimentation including subscale wind tunnel testing, high-enthalpy tunnel testing, full-scale vehicle wind tunnel testing, and captive-carry sounding rocket experimentation.
  • Further, the engineer will aid in defining objectives, mission requirements, vehicle configurations, instrumentation, and data acquisition requirements for ground and flight testing.
  • The successful candidate will aid in defining objectives, mission requirements, vehicle configurations, instrumentation, and data acquisition requirements for full-scale flight demonstrations.
  • Direct experience in supersonic and hypersonic flight and ground experimentation is required.

Job Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant aerospace experimentation
  • Direct experience in supersonic and hypersonic flight and ground experimentation
  • Direct experience with relevant test facilities such as wind tunnels
  • Direct experience with complex aerospace test campaigns including test definition, setup, and execution.
  • Comprehensive expertise in aerospace test instrumentation and data acquisition
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
