Variable could be 1st or 2nd shift based on business needs

Job Description

The Aerospace Technical Instructor is responsible for delivering technical training, coaching employees, and supporting skill development in aerospace manufacturing environments. This role ensures effective knowledge transfer, compliance with standards, and continuous improvement in workforce capability.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct learning needs analysis and define training objectives

  • Deliver training programs and evaluate effectiveness against objectives

  • Facilitate classroom and hands-on training sessions using various delivery methods

  • Provide individual and group coaching to improve performance

  • Instruct in specialized aerospace areas (Electrical, Structural, Quality, Systems, etc.)

  • Track and assess learner performance; recommend improvements

  • Customize training materials, course content, and learning guides

  • Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions to qualify new instructors

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and emphasize safe work practices

  • Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom behavior

  • Ensure training aligns with regulatory, organizational, and industry standards

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing or manufacturing support

  • Experience in coaching, instructing, or employee development

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions

  • Strong communication and facilitation skills

  • Willingness to work with chemicals as part of training delivery

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Aerospace manufacturing or Lean certifications

  • Experience in Structural, Electrical, Systems, Repair, or Functional Testing

  • Hands-on experience as a mechanic (structural, mechanical, electrical systems)

  • Experience in areas such as Electrical, Wing, Spar, or Structural Assembly

  • Knowledge of needs assessment and job analysis
