Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Sr. Cloud DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Cloud Platform Engineering Manager, the Sr. Cloud DevSecOps Engineer will contribute to the build out of Terran's Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering that accelerates delivery, shifts security left, and provides unified DevOps, infrastructure, SRE, and security capabilities. You'll work with a team of cloud engineers, architects, and contractors while driving the adoption of Lockheed Martin standards and NIST 800-53/STIG compliance across Ground, Flight, and Test software teams.

*This position is fully onsite in Irvine, CA.*

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead detection, analysis, containment, and remediation of security incidents in cloud environments; develop and maintain runbooks and post‑mortem processes.
  • Provision and maintain cloud infrastructure (compute, networking, storage, databases) using Infrastructure‑as‑Code; optimize cost, performance, and reliability while adhering to security baselines.
  • Ensure NIST 800-53 and STIG compliance across infrastructure, pipelines, and AMIs
  • Establish unified tooling, SOPs, and self-service platform capabilities, integrating Lockheed Martin blueprints, AMIs, and Infrastructure-as-Code standards
  • Mentor, and develop engineers and interns on the team

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelors in IT, Cybersecurity, or Aerospace Systems required
  • 5+ years or equivalent of cloud engineering, DevOps, or cybersecurity.
  • Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience implementing NIST 800-53 and STIG controls in cloud environments
  • Experience with defense, aerospace, or highly regulated industry requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Masters in IT, Cybersecurity, or Aerospace Systems required
  • Professional Certifications as an AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer, and/or Information Security Systems

Your actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
