Job description

Join a Team Building the Future of U.S. Manufacturing

Cutting Dynamics, LLC, a Re:Build Manufacturing company in Avon, Ohio, has delivered high-quality aerospace components, assemblies, and kitting solutions for more than three decades. Re:Build brings together engineering depth, operational excellence, and advanced technologies to elevate our family of industrial businesses across diverse end markets, including aerospace, defense, healthcare, energy, and more.

As our Manufacturing Costing Analyst, you’ll be at the heart of how we make decisions. Reporting to the Site Controller, you will partner closely with manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, sales, and business development to illuminate true product costs, guide pricing, and strengthen profitability.

A day in the role

Picture your week: you review standard cost builds for complex aerospace parts, sit down with production leaders to unpack cost drivers, and fine-tune rates that reflect how work really flows on the floor. You support the Quoting team on major customer packages and LTAs with detailed estimates. You track job-level variances—materials, labor efficiency, and overhead absorption—and convert findings into actions. As month-end approaches, you help close inventory and cost-of-goods with precision. Along the way, you contribute to our implementation of Infor CloudSuite Industrial (Syteline ERP), helping us move from a Standard Cost approach to an Actual Cost environment.

What you will do
  • Build, analyze, and maintain standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead.
  • Partner with operations to assess production processes, pinpoint cost drivers, and recommend efficiency improvements.
  • Evaluate current cost structures and sales data to inform pricing strategies and profitability analysis.
  • Support the Quoting team with comprehensive cost estimates and pricing models for major customer quote packages and LTAs.
  • Monitor and report on job cost variances, including material usage, labor performance, and overhead absorption.
  • Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for inventory and cost accounting.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting related to cost of goods sold and manufacturing expenses.
  • Safeguard inventory valuation accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
  • Align cost assumptions with engineering, operations, and sales to support business strategy.
  • Advance the Syteline ERP rollout by developing cost rates and processes to transition from Standard Cost to Actual Cost.
  • Continuously improve costing methods, accounting processes, and reporting tools using AI and automation.
What you bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing setting; contract manufacturing exposure is a plus.
  • Strong analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and problem-solving capability.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel; Syteline experience is a plus.
  • Clear communicator able to present financial insights across functions.
  • Deep knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting.
  • Ability to produce high-quality analysis to support data-driven decisions.
