Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to conducting a variety of electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical test on electronic systems, subassemblies, and parts to ensure unit functions according to specifications or to determine cause of unity failure by performing the following duties.

  • Read test schedule, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications,
  • Wire diagrams, and schematics to determine testing procedures and equipment and other documents such as prints, work instructions, procedures without assistance.
  • Build and repairs test fixtures used on shop floor.
  • Calibrate inspection or test instruments according to specifications.
  • Compare results with specifications and records test data or plots test results on graph.
  • Analyze test results on defective units to determine cause of failure.
  • Assist in replacing defective wiring and components or records defects on tag attached to unit
  • Fill out test reports
  • Basic mechanical inspection using scales/rulers/calipers/ height gages
  • Complete AS9100 FAIR forms
  • Produce a Certificate of Conformance
  • Ability to be certified to IPC-610/620 or J-2000 Standard inspection certifications.
  • Ability to inspect or test in inspection room or out on floor.
  • Ability to read and understand and apply customer documents such as customer prints/ customer Test Procedures and complete ATP reports.
  • Ability to stand for a prolong time.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be computer literate
  • Experience with inventory process.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as employee manual, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Must have the physical ability to lift up to 20-40 lbs. at any given time.
