Job description

PPG's Aerospace Business is looking for a Quality Assurance Technical Analyst to join our team in Avon, MA! As the QA Technical Analyst, you will support the Quality team in ensuring that products manufactured at our facility meet all customer requirements for conformity. You will work with internal and external customers while developing your knowledge of quality systems and processes. Participation in new and existing product and process documentation reviews will help you build a strong foundation in maintaining robust quality practices and contribute to overall business success.

This is a fully onsite position in our Avon, MA facility and will report directly to the Quality Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as lead Quality Management System administrator, leading document control activities.

  • Support First Article Inspection (FAI) activities on PPG products in accordance with AS9102 requirements.

  • Assist cross-functional teams with continuous improvement activities, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation along with other quality support tasks.

  • Support First Article Inspections efforts on PPG products in accordance with AS9102.Provide support in implementing and maintaining production processes, process sheets, and related documentation.

  • Access and monitor customer or industry-specific portals (e.g., Exostar) with guidance; communicate relevant updates to the team.

  • Lead/support in determining customer specific requirements by offering support through requirement reviews including gap analysis between specification revisions, design reviews, development, qualification, and production of products.

  • Support investigations into customer quality complaints and contribute to problem-solving efforts to help develop corrective actions and prevent recurrence.

  • Assist with the initiation and preliminary review of non-conforming material documentation.

  • Support the initiation, coordination, and tracking of corrective actions to ensure timely and effective closure.

  • Provide support during registrar, internal and customer audits.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a quality role, manufacturing, or engineering environment, or an Associate's Degree in engineering, quality assurance is preferred.

  • Familiarity and experience within aerospace/OEM is beneficial.

  • Exposure to Quality Assurance in Aerospace or Automotive manufacturing is a plus.

  • Familiarity with ISO9001, AS9100, or AS9102 standards is preferred.

  • Basic understanding of drawing interpretation and technical specifications is beneficial.

The base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000, with a possibility of an annual bonus up to 4.5% of base salary.
