We are seeking an Aerospace Manufacturing Technician to produce precision aerospace components using a variety of machining and manufacturing equipment. This role involves machine setup, operation, quality inspection, and blueprint interpretation while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

• Set up and operate lathes, mills, drills, saws, punch presses, and other production equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings.
• Perform machine adjustments, basic troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
• Conduct visual and dimensional quality checks and document inspection results.
• Follow established manufacturing, safety, and quality procedures.
• Record production data and maintain accurate documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Experience operating machining or manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working to tight tolerances and quality standards.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and production tracking.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• CNC machining experience.
• Aerospace, aviation, or defense manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of SPC, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement practices.
• Experience with ISO or AS9100 quality systems.

Manufacturing facility environment with machining equipment, inspection tools, and production systems. The role requires standing for extended periods, handling parts and tooling, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality requirements.

This is a Contract position based out of Owego, NY.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
