Job description

ITG Communications is hiring a Traveling Aerial Telecom Ground Hand for Waupaca, WI
Responsible for providing essential ground support for both aerial and underground construction crews, assisting with equipment, materials, and basic construction tasks while maintaining safety protocols and supporting efficient project execution in telecom infrastructure construction.
Main projects are located throughout the state of WI. Could require travel to other states as well depending on available work and ITG needs.
Responsibilities
  • Assist aerial or underground crews with equipment setup, operation, and maintenance.
  • Load, unload, and organize construction materials and tools at job sites.
  • Operate basic construction tools and equipment according to established procedures.
  • Set up and maintain safety perimeters and traffic control measures.
  • Assist with digging, trenching, and other ground preparation tasks.
  • Support pole setting and aerial line work from the ground.
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Communicate effectively with crew leads regarding task completion and challenges.
  • Keep work sites clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance on tools and equipment.
  • Document material usage and basic work activities as directed.

Requirements
Education:

  • Understanding of construction site operations and protocols
