Matthews Motors is looking for an ambitious, relationship-driven sales professional to grow our commercial truck equipment and fleet upfit business throughout the Southeast.
This isn't a retail sales job.
You'll work directly with business owners, fleet managers, municipalities, contractors, utilities, and dealerships to design and deliver custom work truck solutions that keep their operations running. From mechanic trucks and dump bodies to utility fleets, aerial equipment, and custom fabrication, you'll help customers solve real business challenges with equipment built specifically for their needs.
If you're a self-starter who enjoys hunting for new business, managing long sales cycles, and becoming a trusted advisor to your customers, we'd love to meet you.
Requirements
What You'll Do
As a Regional Commercial Truck Equipment Sales Representative, you will:
  • Develop new business throughout your assigned territory while growing existing customer relationships.
  • Prospect through cold calls, networking, referrals, CRM campaigns, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Meet with customers to understand their operations, equipment needs, budgets, and long-term fleet goals.
  • Recommend complete truck body and equipment solutions that improve productivity and reduce operating costs.
  • Prepare accurate quotations, specifications, and proposals.
  • Coordinate with engineering, production, purchasing, and service teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and exceed customer expectations.
  • Manage opportunities through every stage of the sales process using our CRM.
  • Represent Matthews Motors at industry associations, trade shows, and customer events.
  • Stay current on industry trends, manufacturers, regulations, and new vocational equipment.
  • Travel throughout the Southeast to develop and maintain customer relationships.
