Position: Vice President of Wealth Management
Department: AE Wealth Management
Reporting to: Head of Sales
Location: Lenexa, KS/ Topeka, KS - Onsite
Overview:

As our Vice President of Wealth Management, you'll play a key role in helping financial advisors grow comprehensive, client-centered practices while leading a team dedicated to delivering exceptional support, coaching, and strategic guidance.
This is a highly visible leadership position that combines relationship management, business development, advisor consulting, and team leadership. You'll work closely with advisors across the country, helping them expand their wealth management offerings, implement growth strategies, and maximize the value of our securities platform. You'll also collaborate with leaders across our Life Insurance and Annuity divisions to create innovative solutions that drive advisor success.

What you'll do:
Partner with Advisors to Drive Growth
  • Build and strengthen relationships with financial advisors to increase engagement with AE's securities platform.
  • Provide coaching and consultation on practice management, business growth, branding, marketing strategies, and client acquisition.
  • Share industry insights, best practices, and thought leadership to help advisors evolve their businesses.
  • Educate advisors on wealth management solutions, financial planning concepts, and investment strategies.
  • Guide advisors on business structures, licensing considerations, and practice development opportunities.

Develop Business and Strategic Partnerships
  • Recruit new advisors to the AE Securities platform and appropriate partner affiliates.
  • Collaborate with internal sales and marketing teams to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Communicate new products, marketing initiatives, sales strategies, and platform enhancements to advisors.
  • Help develop and execute strategic plans that expand advisor relationships, sales production, and market presence.

Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team focused on delivering exceptional advisor support.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback and development.
  • Hire, train, and develop team members to support organizational growth.
  • Manage team workflows and resources to ensure timely, accurate, and value-added service.
  • Analyze processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and advisor experience.

Experience you'll bring:
  • 5+ years of Broker Dealer and/or Registered Investment Advisor experience.
  • 3-5 years of sales or business development experience.
  • FINRA Series 65 or Series 66 license.
  • Strong knowledge of investment products, financial planning, capital markets, and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to influence and engage advisors through coaching and consultative conversations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential information.
