JOB SUMMARY:

Under general supervision implements and directs Customer Development Campaigns and Casino Promotional Programs, creating market awareness to increase market share and gaming revenues; gathers and organizes information on market trends; analyzes casino/player business and completes reports; plans/implements/ evaluates advertising campaigns, player promotions and business development strategies; creates and executes casino promotions and special events; coordinates and manages outside entertainment; evaluates competitor operations; and performs other duties as required.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

The position is distinguished from other levels of marketing employees by its responsibility for operations and implementation of marketing campaigns and promotions.

Essential Functions: (This job specification may not include all the duties listed, nor do the examples cover all the duties that may be performed.)

Achieve Customer Development and Casino Promotions goals for the Carson Nugget by creating, implementing, managing and measuring strategies and tactics through the development and implementation of an annual Marketing Plan in order to attain pre-determined business/market share/revenue targets.

Work with Casino operations to create, implement, and manage casino programs that will drive casino revenue and create excitement from the guest.

Responsible to develop, plan and perform various duties regarding entertainment and assist, as needed, in select marketing operational activities.

Responsible for all phases of entertainment including booking talent, coordinating completion of contracts, and following all items called for in the contracts, as approved by appropriate management. Plan and coordinate all contract and rider logistics, including but not limited to: transportation, housing, meals, catering and hospitality, per diems, green room and dressing room requirements. Must be able to advance show logistics in a complete and timely manner and see these arrangements through the engagement.

Responsible for the maintenance and updating of the Marketing Checkbook and working with Finance on marketing monthly P&L statements.

Coordinating Pro and Postformas for marketing events, promotions, entertainment; ensure that the postformas have complete and accurate information.

Develop promotions, amenities, services, products and special offers by working with gaming departments to ascertain player preferences and trends in order to develop attractive themes; measure the results of such promotions and special offers in terms of increased attendance, revenue and play in order to determine success or the need for modification.

Formulate, manage and coordinate marketing activities by working with advertising and promotions representatives/organizations in order to publicize the Carson Nugget, its services, entertainment venues, special events and player rewards.

Retain new mid and high level players and maximize players' club memberships by creating and utilizing various marketing tools and activities such as direct mailers, telemarketing, referrals, on-floor monitoring of play and promotions in order to increase revenues and improve the bottom line.

Track and analyze various marketing data such as revenues generated, guest play and other indicators by utilizing surveys, competitive and secondary industry research and other data in order to create reports which evaluate and provide information on the success of marketing efforts, advertising, specific promotions and special events.

Track and analyze the effectiveness of competitors' marketing campaigns, promotions, advertising and other aspects of their business in order to determine profitability and success.

Liaise with outside community and non-profit organizations for which the Nugget provides sponsorship by meeting with representatives in order to facilitate support, monetary and in-kind donations.
