    • Position Summary
    • Temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position available in Capital Planning and Design.
    • Start Date
    • Position available on or after September 7, 2026 and ending on or before May 31, 2027. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
    • Job Description/Duties
    • Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Create, update, and maintain GIS database, utilizing Trimble GPS equipment and software to locate campus information.
      • Some projects will require importing CAD data from existing campus files.
      • Collect information by field survey to update campus maps, such as utilities, trees, floor plans and other campus features.
      • Maintain and update the campus space allocation drawings.
      • Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
      • Other duties as assigned.
    • Qualifications
    • Preferred Qualifications:
      • Current Stanislaus State student (must be at Junior level or higher).
      • Geography Major or MSIS - Geospatial Analysis preferred but not required.
      • Knowledge of GIS, GPS and Remote Sensing and experience using ArcGIS.
      • Familiarity of other campus mapping projects preferred.
      • Possess excellent customer service skills, motivation, dependability, punctuality, and a positive attitude; ability to work on projects with minimal supervision and/or with a team.

      Required Qualifications:
      • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
      • Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.

    • $18.00 per hour.
