We're looking for Junior Ski & Snowboard Professionals to join our Mountain Sports School team in Girdwood, Alaska.
What You'll Do
As a Junior Ski & Snowboard Pro, you will teach alpine skiing or snowboarding to children and adults of all ability levels by focusing on the fundamentals of on-mountain safety while providing a fun on-snow experience. Extensive training is provided for inexperienced to advanced candidates.

The Mountain Sports School is dedicated to talent development and offers industry-leading training that supports our commitment to excellence.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Work closely and shadow a certified Senior Instructor in all areas according to individual student goals and abilities.
  • Assist in teaching and demonstrating skiing/riding to classes in a safe environment using a variety of teaching and ski/ride techniques.
  • Provide exceptional guest service while always maintaining safety as a priority
  • Work collaboratively with fellow employees and independently with groups of students.
  • Attend training and shadow upper-level lessons.

What We Need
  • Graduate of the Junior Instructor Training Program, preferred.
  • Able to commit to working 14 days during the winter season.
  • Must be 14 years of age or older.
  • Advanced skiing and/or snowboarding skills.
  • Passionate about mountain sports.
  • Positive can-do attitude.
  • Ability to succeed within an exceptional Guest Service Culture.

What to Expect
Be on alert and at times, on your feet for long periods, including nights, weekends, & holidays.
Work in a fast-paced, high-energy resort environment.
Adapt to seasonal changes around the resort and special events.
Physical demands: Ability to demonstrate skiing or snowboarding techniques, lift and carry equipment up to 25 pounds, bend, stoop, walk in various snow conditions, and stand for extended periods of time.
Work Environment: This role occasionally involves extended hours and weekends to accommodate peak business periods. Operating within a dynamic, guest-centric setting, you will interact frequently with staff, guests, and stakeholders. Your work spans both indoor and outdoor environments, encompassing a range of mountain weather conditions.
