Sedation Registered Nurse (RN)

Atlanta Fibroid Center

Lawrenceville, GA • On-site

$40 - $45/hr

Full-time

Posted 5 days ago

Job description

Description:

Atlanta Fibroid Center is a leading outpatient interventional radiology practice specializing in uterine fibroid embolization (UFE), a minimally invasive alternative to hysterectomy. We're looking for an experienced ICU-trained RN to deliver moderate sedation care on our procedural team — Monday through Friday, daytime hours only.

You'll keep the critical care skills you worked hard for — airway management, hemodynamic monitoring, rapid response thinking — and trade the nights, weekends, holidays, and call for a predictable schedule and a close-knit team with direct physician collaboration

Why Nurses Choose Us

• Monday–Friday daytime schedule — no nights, weekends, holidays, or hospital call

• Small, collaborative team with direct access to physicians

• Structured orientation with a formal preceptorship and competency program

• Growing practice with advancement opportunities as we expand to new locations

• Competitive compensation based on experience

What you'll do:

• Administer and monitor moderate (conscious) sedation for UFE procedures under physician direction

• Perform pre-procedure assessments, IV starts, and patient preparation

• Provide continuous intra-procedure monitoring: airway, hemodynamics, sedation level, and patient response

• Manage post-procedure recovery, pain control, and discharge readiness

• Respond to and manage sedation-related events; maintain emergency readiness

• Document sedation care accurately in the EHR (AdvancedMD)

• Conduct post-procedure follow-up calls and patient education

• Participate in controlled substance counts and medication management

Requirements:

What You Need (Required)

• Current, unencumbered Georgia RN license (or compact license)

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (MICU, SICU, CVICU, or equivalent critical care) — required

Procedural/moderate sedation experience — required

• Current BLS and ACLS certification

• Strong airway assessment and rescue skills; confident managing sedation complications independently until physician support arrives

• Excellent IV skills

Bonus Points (Preferred)

• Procedural sedation experience in an outpatient, ASC, or office-based setting — strongly preferred

• Emergency Department (ED) preferred, minimum 1 year

• Interventional radiology, Cath lab, endoscopy, or PACU experience

• Experience with AdvancedMD or similar EHR

• CAPA or CPAN certification a plus
