Role Overview
- The Tooling Engineer will be responsible for sourcing and deploying new or upgraded tooling required to achieve throughput targets.
- This role involves working closely with local engineers and design teams to ensure that target results are achieved efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and deploy new or upgraded tooling to meet throughput targets.
- Collaborate with local engineers and design teams to ensure tooling meets project requirements.
- Manage tooling implementation from concept to validation.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during tooling deployment.
- Monitor and validate tooling performance against defined targets.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in automotive or trucking environments.
- Proven record of tooling design and implementation.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve tooling-related issues promptly.
Education Criteria
- All engineers must hold a 4-year engineering degree in their respective discipline.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in advanced tooling technologies and automation.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with CAD tools
