Job description

Job Summary:
OVA.Work is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SDET Engineer to join their QA and Engineering team. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of applications across web services and APIs.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for Web, API, and backend applications.
• Design scalable automation frameworks using industry best practices.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to identify test scenarios.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint activities.
• Analyze test results, log defects, and track issues to closure.
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform API testing using tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
• Create and maintain test documentation and reports.
• Ensure application quality, stability, and performance.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Experience in automation tools such as: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress.
• Strong programming knowledge in: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python.
• Experience with API automation using: Postman, Rest Assured.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
• Experience with version control tools: Git.
• Basic SQL/database testing knowledge.
• Understanding of performance testing tools such as: Apache JMeter.
• 2+ years to 6+ years of experience in Automation Testing / SDET role.
Preferred:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in cloud platforms like AWS/Azure is a plus.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is an advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
