Description
Who we are: Advanced Radiology Services is one of the largest physician-owned radiology practices in the country. Our growing practice includes 190 radiologists, 30 advanced practice providers, and more than 150 employees providing administrative support in our wholly owned subsidiary STARS. We value diversity on our team and promote a culture of inclusion.
What we do: ARS provides services to more than 60 different sites across the state of Michigan. Our clients include West Michigan's largest Level I trauma center and research hospital, Corewell Health as well as Bronson Healthcare, Holland Hospital and MyMichigan.
What we are looking for: We are seeking additional part or full time help reading plain films. We will consider someone who wants to work the minimum which is 2 shifts/16 hours per month up to a .5 to 1.0 status. This position can be done from anywhere in the country and is ideal for someone who is looking for flexibility in their schedule or would like an additional source of income from other employment.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Interpret plain films utilizing our distributed radiology system (Intelerad PACS, PowerScribe 360)
โ€ข 24/7 clinical IT support
โ€ข Shifts are flex shifts and can be worked in increments as long as RVU's are reached within 24 hours
โ€ข Minimum 2 shifts (or 16 hours) shifts per month
Why is our practice unique? ARS is a 100% physician owned and managed practice. We are committed to remaining independent. If desired, we welcome participation in section, committee and board meetings as well as academic pursuits. We are affiliated with Michigan State University College of Medicine, and Western Michigan University Homer Stryker School of Medicine. Due to the size and breadth of the healthcare systems we support, diagnostic volume and variety of clinical exposure is unrivaled.
Compensation/Benefits: We have two options for this- an Associate Physician with Benefits or an Associate Physician - Non-Benefit Eligible. If you do not need benefits the pay is currently $2300 per weekday shift or $3220 for timed weekend shifts. If you elect this option, you will not be able to exceed 250 hours per quarter. Our Associate Physicians with benefits earn $1800 per shift but also have a comprehensive benefit plan. This includes single or family medical/dental/vision with some premium contribution and a $9000 medical reimbursement account if you work an average of 2 shifts per week (800 hours/year). We also contribute half the IRS maximum 401K contribution ($35,000 in 2025) after one year of employment if you work 256 hours (thirty two (32) 8 hour shifts) per quarter. We also provide reimbursement for your state medical license, $750 per year toward professional association dues as well as your ACR and MSMS payments. We provide malpractice insurance and a home work station at no cost for either option above (benefit eligible or non benefit eligible).
