Job Summary:

Nova Biomedical is seeking a POC Order Processor/Shipper to support domestic and international order fulfillment at the Billerica, MA facility. This role is responsible for part verification, picking, packaging, and shipping customer orders while ensuring all items are accurately accounted for. The POC Order Processor/Shipper will generate appropriate shipping documentation, coordinate freight carrier pick-ups as needed, use handheld barcode scanners and automated picking systems, and operate various material handling equipment in support of warehouse and shipping activities

Responsibilities:

  • Pick international and domestic customer orders using handheld scanners and automated picking systems.
  • Fill internal requisitions, including requests from R&D, reagents, QC, technical services, and other internal teams.
  • Perform cycle counts, location audits, and inventory put-away from manufacturing and inter-plant shipments.
  • Help maintain appropriate levels of non-inventory packaging and shipping materials.
  • Maintain location integrity and follow FIFO practices when picking, moving, or storing materials.
  • Check customer orders for accuracy prior to shipment.
  • Package orders to ensure safe, damage-free shipment while meeting customer-specific requirements.
  • Generate bills of lading for truck shipments and record seal numbers as needed.
  • Load international and domestic customer shipments with freight carriers upon arrival and obtain driver signatures for shipments.
  • Contact freight carriers as needed to coordinate shipments and pick-ups.
  • Ensure proper labeling, packing, and manifestation of dangerous goods shipments.
  • Complete the end-of-night checklist and ensure shipping activities are finalized accurately.

Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two years of experience in warehousing, shipping/receiving, delivery, or related work.
  • Ability to effectively read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to quickly adapt and learn new skills.
  • Willingness to generate new ideas for continuous improvement without being prompted.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with inventory management systems preferred.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to [25–50] pounds as required.
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, or climb as needed.
