Welcome to the world of land-based gaming. At Light & Wonder, it's all about the games, and our Gaming team builds cutting-edge technology, products, and content for the most iconic casinos and operators across the globe.
Position Summary
This specific Systems Training position is expected to focus on Light and Wonder's Casino Systems Data Analytics product. The ideal training candidate will be an experienced training professional with strong understanding and fluency with quantitative and statistical analysis, reporting and data modeling, and casino operations.
As an Advanced System Implementation Senior Trainer, he/she is responsible for providing advanced level software training services, in-person, onsite at client locations, via virtual classrooms, and through the development of electronic training materials, to Light and Wonder customers and internal employees, as well as providing recommendations on system utilization and efficiencies. Training services include, but are not limited to, supporting customer and employee understanding and effective use of Light and Wonder enterprise software solutions. Additional services include but are not limited to conducting business analysis and advanced follow-up training services.
Essential Job Functions
As a Systems Trainer
  • Ability to learn and understand Light and Wonder suite of Gaming Systems Products with focus on Light and Wonder's Casino Systems Data Analytics product.
  • Ability to understand complex information about the features and functions of Light and Wonder Casino Systems products and then develop and deliver related training curriculum to ensure clients are able understand, effectively use, and gain expected value and benefit from our suite of product solutions.
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and apply all current and future systems training, installation, and user guide documentation of Light and Wonder products and interfaces supported by the Training Department.
  • Creates, updates and maintains learning material, such as training agendas, course curriculum, job aids, training videos, PowerPoint presentations, user manuals, business process workflows, learning guides, quick reference guides, sign in sheets, evaluations and all other related learning materials for training classes.
  • Conducts and interprets business and Gap analysis; documents and translating business processes into software functionality; configures the Light and Wonder Systems and customizes test scripts to fit casino business practices.
  • Ability to prepare and set up environment for hands-on training activities.
  • Deliver advanced instructor-led classroom training for both in-person and remote participants including customers and employees.
  • Independently delivers and supports Unit Testing, Super User Training (SUT), End User Training (EUT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and advanced follow up training and issues resolution.
  • Trouble-shoot technical issues during training classes and project life cycle; identify solutions or workarounds.
  • Provides go-live support in all areas of the casino and ensures that software is performing properly.
  • Responsible for mentoring, monitoring and evaluating entry level and lead system trainers.
  • Actively participant in the continuous improvement process for curriculum, student classroom experience, and trainer effectiveness.]
  • Schedules and facilitates training for internal and external customers on Light and Wonder Technology products.
  • Identifies, promotes and schedules future training engagements for customers.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams of technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple business units and acts as a liaison between the customer and Light and Wonder.
  • Exceptional, prioritization, and planning skills, with demonstrated success producing high-quality deliverables on time
  • A candidate holding this role will have a demonstrated ability with, or capability to learn, two core L&W products.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Focus on Data Analytics Solutions
  • Capability and fluency in quantitative data analysis including statistical analysis / modeling capability.
  • Comfortable managing (large) data sets to use them to understand and identify data trends.
  • Ability to assess data requirements
  • Ability to facilitate to acquire data, integrate / assimilate / manipulate stored data / data output.
  • Ability to adjust queries / algorithms, clean/aggregate/organize data from disparate data sources.

Qualifications
Training and/or Experience
  • Minimum of eight+ years training, teaching or related experience.
  • Minimum of eight+ years of technical experience preferably software related.
  • Minimum two years of data analysis or data analytics or related experience.
  • Preferred minimum of two years of casino operations, gaming experience and/or Light and Wonder System product knowledge.
  • Accounting or Marketing experience a plus.

  • Ability to secure and maintain gaming licenses.

Related to Data Analytics Focus Area
  • Basic knowledge of database engines, table structures and services.
  • Ability to write complex SQL queries on large datasets.
  • Tableau - Proficient in Tableau Desktop & Server, including but not limited to the following:
  • Add Ad-hoc data.
  • Create dashboards from scratch & publish.
  • Create Tableau Data Extracts / Data Sources.
  • Manage Tableau server access & subscriptions.
  • Create complex calculations.
  • Good data visualization skills.
  • Knowledge of R/ Python is a plus.
  • Ability to create reports using SSRS.
  • Prior knowledge with SSAS - Cubes is a plus. Basic SQL knowledge; ability to read/write basic queries.

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Business Administration, Marketing, Education or related field. Relevant equivalent work experience is acceptable in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

Working Environment
  • The work conditions are representative and typical of similar jobs in comparable organizations
  • Must be able to travel 60%+ to perform job duties
