This role will serve as the technical authority and primary customer-facing representative for the development, validation and delivery of vehicle platform training products, ensuring technical accuracy, contractual compliance and effective instruction across training environment and at targeted audience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years experience in a training environment or Associates degree and military experience  OR military training experience (7 plus years) accepted in lieu of degree 
  • Military experience with GD Land Systems company products desired OR other ground vehicle experience.
  • Experience with team leadership required.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to positively influence others.
  • Ability to think strategically and with an enterprise-wide perspective.
  • Ability to manage multiple efforts simultaneously.
  • Strong aptitude for continuous learning.
  • Proactive solution provider and decision maker in real time at off site locations in order to meet objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Will be responsible for the technical oversight of the training products for vehicle platforms based on engineering source data and technical drawings.
  • Will lead and assign work to training personnel along with assessing and evaluating course development for technical accuracy and conformity to contractual standards and requirements.
  • This role will provide oversight and be the subject matter expert (SME) to support and deliver training to soldiers, government test personnel, instructors and key personnel as required for vehicles including new equipment and prototypes.
  • Will provide SME support to develop and deliver training materials TRADOC formatted for the training Development Capabilities (TDC) database and for use in the Military School environment.
  • This role will represent GD Land Systems to internal and external customers at program level meetings, engineering milestone reviews and other significant events.  
  • Will support company initiatives such as Request for Proposals (RFP's)
  • Establishes and leads a team for training events and working groups as defined by the contract.
  • Manages all IPT responsibilities associate with the assigned programs for the training role.

  • This position will require travel to various US locations
  • Availability to work outside regular business hours as needed, to address critical issues.
