Job description

We are seeking an Adoption Accelerator KS to join our team. 

Starting Salary: $44,000 - $47,000 (Salary)

Bonus: $1,000  Sign-on bonus will be paid on your first paycheck

We are seeking an Adoption Accelerator KS to join our team.  Your role will partner with the Department for Children and Families (DCF) and the Foster Care Case Management Specialists to serve children with a permanency goal of adoption, making decisions and recommendations to ensure the safety and welfare of those children. You will have advanced skills to assess program data to identify and resolve barriers to adoption. You will demonstrate creative service delivery, strong time management skills, and excellent decision-making ability. As a member of the KS Foster Care team, you will work with 5 other team members and report to our Senior Manager of Kinship and Adoption.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Provide services to children and families who have been referred under the Foster Care Case Management Contract and have the case plan goal of Adoption.
  • Tracking and monitoring key Adoption documents and dates (i.e., birth certificates, birth records, best interest staffing, adoption applications, etc.).
  • Completes data entry of designated items as needed into the Cornerstones of Care electronic client management systems.
  • Complete comprehensive assessments of families interested in adopting a child in the custody of the Secretary of DCF including adopt-only families, licensed families, and relatives as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

Our ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of child welfare experience and the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, criminal justice or other related fields is required.
  • Mater’s degree and Licensed by the BSRB are preferred.
  • At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical, and drug screening.
  • A valid driver’s license in the state you reside in, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
