Job Overview

BCAC Underground is hiring experienced and motivated Underground Services Operators to join our Field Operations team. This hands-on role involves operating specialized equipment for inspecting, cleaning, testing, and rehabilitating underground utility systems across residential, commercial, industrial, and government sites. Key Responsibilities
  • Inspection & Testing
    • Operate CCTV systems for internal pipeline inspections.

    • Perform cross bore inspections using robotic/push cameras.

    • Conduct mandrel and air pressure testing of sewer/storm lines.

    • Complete vacuum and manhole testing with specialized rigs.

  • Cleaning & Excavation
    • Execute hydro excavation for safe utility exposure.

    • Perform sewer and storm cleaning via high-pressure jetting.

    • Operate vacuum trucks for debris removal and cleaning.

  • Rehabilitation & Lining
    • Apply epoxy liners and chemical grout injections for pipe rehab.

    • Mix, apply, and cure epoxy materials per specs and standards.

  • Safety & Compliance
    • Maintain strict compliance with OSHA and company safety rules.

    • Maintain and inspect all tools/equipment for safe use.

    • Prepare detailed inspection reports and digital logs.

    • Follow traffic control and public safety procedures.

    • Attend safety training and hazard assessments regularly.

Qualifications
  • Required:
    • High school diploma or GED.

    • Valid Drivers License with clean record.

    • CDL with Tanker Endorsement (or ability to obtain).

    • Experience with hydro vac trucks, CCTV systems, or pipe inspection tools.

    • Ability to read construction plans, sewer plans, maps, and as-builts.

    • Physically fit and able to lift 75 lbs; comfortable working outdoors.

  • Preferred:
    • CDL Class A or B license.

    • NASSCO certifications (PACP, MACP, LACP).

    • Confined Space Entry or Competent Person certification.

    • Prior experience with trenchless pipe rehab, epoxy, or grout work.

    • Familiarity with municipal underground testing standards.
